Delivering a huge 5.5hp via a high-torque V-belt drive is a Loncin G160F engine; a large-displacement (163cc) four-stroke forced-air-cooled motor with an OHV configuration for a sizeable cut in fuel-consumption, emissions, noise and vibration; and a metal-cam that combines with a cast-iron cylinder-sleeve and a forged-steel connection-rod to confer fantastic long-term reliability.
A low-oil alert system protects the engine by automatically shutting it down when the reservoir's running dry; while a transistor-type ignition works to minimise fuel-consumption on start-up.
Also important in terms of the engine is the cavernous three-litre fuel-tank that delivers an impressive three-hour run-time on one fill.
