Q: "Why is the vacuum not working?"
A: It is almost certainly because you have not attached the collection bag. Even in blow-mode, you need to have the bag attached. There is a micro-switch that detects the bag. If it is not in place, the machine will not turn on. It is designed like that for safety.

Better at vac than blow. Alot of very large leaves can clog up vac end so gradual collection of leaves works best. Battery life better than expected.
