It's much better value than the precut lengths and it's really good quality, tough line. You can buy cheaper but you get what you pay for, this stuff is comparatively very durable even in coarse weeds such as established bramble and small saplings and since it's less convenient to replace than the bump-feed spool line it's worth investing in a better quality product at the start, so this product is worthwhile. Because it's thick and solid compared to spool line, if you hit metal at high revs then it's a little more prone to breaking than the thin spool line, but if you drop the revs near fencing/metal pegs/posts then it actually survives contact better than spool line, in my experience anyway. It still cuts fairly effectively at low revs because it's thicker and has plenty of weight. I'd definitely recommend it. We have a very large Manor house garden/grounds to maintain so we need something that's up to the job. The Oregon serrated square line does the job very well, it's firmly placed between thin spool line and a fixed metal blade both of which have disadvantages.

I accidently order the seize below the one I needed. This doesn't work as good as expected. I phoned to see if I could change it. That was possible, but with a lot of extra costs....... So I kept the one I order.

Has a VERY short life when used with the above head. A very cheap 3mm nylon line bought from a supermarket outlasts it by at least 5 times.
