The original failed because of inadequate plastic lugs securing the starter assembly to the engine. They break under the strain of the starter pull-chord. I had had to reinforce them with steel brackets after a couple of seasons & hoped Mounfield would have made the new part improved & strengthened. It doesn't appear so.
