The Mountfield S461R PD is a great mower and is powered by the new Stiga ST170 engine. The engine on this self propelled lawnmower provides drive to the rear roller, as well as the cutting blade, so you don't have to push the mower, making it easy to use, especially on sloping ground.

The wide rear roller, cuts right up to the edge of borders and creates classic stripes, so you'll achieve a beautiful finish to your lawn with ease.

Height of cut varies from 20mm to 70mm, with 5 positions selected using a single lever. Supplied with a large 55 litre grass collector, which has an indicator to show when it requires emptying, the S461R PD also features ball bearings, and a deck wash link to facilitate cleaning after use.

A 46cm cutting width makes this mower suitable for lawns up to 40m x 40m.

How Should The Oil Level Be Measured On This Petrol Lawn Mower?
To correctly measure the oil level, you need to make sure the petrol lawnmower is on a flat surface, unscrew the cap which has a built-in dipstick for measuring, clean off any oil on the dipstick and reinsert it without screwing it in. Take the dipstick back out and check the level, which must lie between the MIN and MAX values. Top up, if required, and screw the cap back on. Full details can be found in the engine manual.
