The Herbi Duo range offer the latest development in Controlled Droplet Application (CDA) technology, enabling unparalleled drift control at very low spray volumes for herbicide application with a lightweight and ergonomic spray lance. They can be used with any herbicide which can be used at lower water volume rates (such as Glyphosate) at total spray volumes of only 15-30 litres/hectare.
All models in the Herbi Duo range offer two spray band widths of 1.0 m and 0.4 m achieved by simply changing the atomiser disc from large to small. Drop sizes at 1m band are in the range of 200-300 µm VMD and a larger drop size of 650-750 µm VMD when using the smaller 0.4m band An optional spray shield is also available when spraying with the narrow 0.4 m band which can be used to avoid any risk of spray contact with adjacent vegetation.
The Herbi Duo can treat over 3 kilometres (about 0.4 hectares) of fence line using one 5L tank mix. Applications include general clean-up, border, pathway and strip spraying (e.g. in orchards and plantations) and spraying of larger areas by making consecutive spray passes. The reduction in mixing and filling operations (with no mixing required with CDA formulations) offers operator safety advantages.
The Herbi Duo model comes with a simpler handle and armrest option with atomiser controlled via a battery switch at the end of the sprayer. The Duo is powered by 4x R20 D cell batteries.

APPLICATION
The Herbi Duo is suitable for use with non-selective herbicides at low spray volumes.
The equipment can also be used for application of other products including selective herbicides, but users should read the product labels to check spray volume and mixing rates are suitable.
- Avoid spraying in wind speeds > 3 m/sec and maintain atomiser disc around 20 cm above ground.
- Avoid flow rates exceeding 150 ml/min.
- Always wear suitable protective clothing to include gloves, boots, and face shield. Always read product labels for mixing instructions and comply with national regulations for pesticide use.
- Check electrical connections are free from corrosion every 50 hours of use including atomiser motor. Clean electrical contacts and apply appropriate lubricant to exclude moisture.
- Sprayer tank and hose pipe should be cleaned through after use with water and always dispose of residues and washings appropriately. Clean external surfaces with a damp cloth.
- Store sprayer and pesticides in secure area away from sunlight and foodstuffs. Always remove batteries during storage.
