Ease of use
The Harrier 379B is a no-nonsense mower that’s built to power through small- to medium-sized lawns. It’s self-propelled - which means that you’ll never struggle with difficult terrain - and it’s lightweight, aluminium chassis make it incredibly easy to maneuver. The high-traction rear roller and built-in trim side also take the hard work out of finishing those tricky edges, and you’ll never need to worry about swerving around trees, raised borders or garden ornaments.
Like all of Hayter’s Harrier mowers, the 379B is also unbelievably easy to set-up and maintain. A single, counterbalanced lever allows you to set the cutting height in a matter of seconds; the 60l grassbag can be detached through the handlebars, and the cutting chamber uses Hayter’s Easy-Wash system, which makes it incredibly easy to keep on top of everyday maintenance.
Performance
The Hayter 379B is built around a compact Honda GCVx145 engine that provides 6.9 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough to power through any small- to medium-sized lawn. Thanks to its powerful engine, this lightweight mower will make light work of high grass, and you can depend on it to provide a neat and even cut every time.
The 379B’s Autodrive is fixed speed (3.2mph) to maximise performance and the cut and collect system is top-spec, to minimise the amount of time you waste emptying grassbags or cleaning up loose clippings.
Efficiency
This mower uses a lightweight aluminium design to cut down on weight, and maximise efficiency. The Honda GCVx145 engine also incorporates a variety of fuel-saving technologies - including a compact combustion chamber and an overhead cam design - to reduce the carbon footprint and running costs of this machine.
Durability
The Harrier 379B is built to withstand the rigours of commercial mowing jobs. The frame is made of reinforced aluminium, which is strong, durable and resistant to corrosion. The wheels are heavy-duty, and a robust front bumper protects the cutting deck from accidental knocks.
Hayter have also opted to use a unique cutter blade friction disc - which is designed to protect the engine when you hit a solid object - and there’s a lifetime warranty against camshaft bending, so you don’t have to worry about hitting debris or detritus.
