From Handy we have the 36.5kg capacity broadcast spreader. It has a spread width of around 10' - 12'. The unit sits on 12 inch Pneumatic Tyres, and has ana djustable feed control. It is ideal for salt, which is broadcast using heavy duty nylon gear. Pneumatic wheels for easy transportation on the roughest of ground and Stainless steel frame, axle and fixings make for a sound build quality.
It might be our lightest push-type salt-spreader, but the domestic-use Handy THSS80 nevertheless offers the same rugged build-quality as our larger machines! It boasts a generous 36kg capacity and offers an expansive 3.66m maximum spread-width.

Built with durability to the fore, the Handy THSS80 36kg Salt Spreader combines a stainless-steel frame, axle and fixings with an impact- and corrosion-resistant polypropylene hopper and heavy-duty nylon gearing.
Its sizeable 3.66 spread-width (max.) and capacious 36kg hopper work to confer an excellent large-area work-rate; while its adjustable deflectors mean you can easily switch from open-space to pathway.
The Handy THSS80 36kg Salt Spreader runs on substantial, wide-profile pneumatic tyres (30cm) which not only keep it stable during operation, but also ensure it will prove easy to push across rough ground.
A versatile unit, this model isn't just for ice-melts and processed salt; it can also be used for distributing fertiliser during the growing-season.
Other desirable features include a rain-cover you can fit in order to keep on working if the weather turns against you; and a hopper-screen that prevents performance-limiting clogging.
This spreader comes complete with hopper screen and rain cover. All in all a very good spreader, ideal for salt, from Handy.
