Building on the already excellent LM1701E, the LM1702E-SP offers varible speed self-propulsion, making it even easier to negotiate lawn slopes and is powered by a larger 4Ah capacity batttery for longer run times. The EGO Power+ mower range is designed to make lawn care quick, easy and more efficient.
Technologically advanced in every way, each mower packs incredible petrol-matching power as standard. The 56-volt Lithium-Ion battery is the industry’s first, with 40% more power than the leading 40-volt battery delivering the performance of petrol without the noise, fuss and fumes.
The fan & blade system have been designed to work together to deliver outstanding grass collection. A mulching kit (ABP1710) is available to purchase separately.

Bought this mower for convenience. Calculated my lawn size which is just under the capacity for the 4Ah battery, which is supplied with this kit. Unfortunately it runs out of power before completing the cut and I have to wait 30mins, recharging, before I can complete. Hopefully the battery may improve after a few charges. I also chose this mower as it was close to the weight of my petrol Hayter Hawk. Unfortunately, again, the EGO is quite cumbersome and not as agile as anticipated, especiall when I have to reverse it in tricky corners. This could be down to the fact that I ordered the tear roller kit ( for that striped effect we all love). This roller is very heavy and may be partly to blame for the lack of agility. I will endeavour to remove it to test without it. One other thing, the rear wheels have a wider track than the front. If you are mowing parallel to the edge and are following the edge with the front wheels the rear falls off the edge ( my Hayter had a full rear roller which stopped this happening) and scalps the lawn ( not a pretty sight). I guess it will just take some time to get used to it. On the positive side, it cuts well, has a powerful motor, is well built, pretty quiet ( but noisier than expected) and is easy to fold down to stow away. Question is would I still have bought it knowing what I do...I doubt it.

Mower delivered on time and performs excellently and to my expectations. Very straightforward to assemble and stores vertically so doesn’t take much room in the garage. Very transportable to mow other gardens. Easy to use. Very pleased.
